Founded in 1993 as the first authorized distributor of the original spiral gumball machine, we are now the largest online wholesaler of gumballs, machines, and vending supplies. With nine U.S. distribution centers, we offer fast, affordable shipping and a wide range of products, from classic gumball machines to professional-grade equipment. HOW IT ALL STARTED
Gumball.com, originally United Wholesale Gumball, was founded by Jack Hovenier on September 15, 1993, in Bellingham, Washington. As an e-commerce pioneer, Jack launched the first online store for vending products. The company gained success by securing exclusive rights to sell the Wizard spiral gumball machine, with sales exceeding $2 million annually. However, competition led to a decline in Wizard sales, and Jack's interest waned. In 2008, Spencer Williams purchased the company, modernized operations, expanded the product line, and focused on enhancing customer service.
