How Many Gumballs Fit in a 1 Quart Mason Jar?
Share
If you are asking this question, then you must be planning a party or an event.
Answer:
A one-quart mason jar has the capacity of 32 fluid ounces. We're assuming that you want to fill the gumballs to the top so that they don't rattle around inside the jar.
Calculation is approximate as gumballs are NOT alway perfectly round and the diameter varies slightly.
Gumballs Size | # Gumballs in Mason Jar |
1" diameter | 55-60 (approx 3/4 lbs) |
1/2" to 5/8" (0.5" to 0.625") | 205-225 (approx 1.9 lbs) |
How do we know? We tested it out ourselves of course. Personalized gumballs jars make great gift for any occasion. you can see some neat examples below.

I have a decorative jar that fits 80 ounces of liquid how many lbs of 1 inch gum ball do I need to fill to containers that size .Using for decoration ?
well first you have to fill the mason jar with water and dump the water out because its probably dirty in there then u fill the mason jar with sand and compare how many particles of sand equals one gumball. after that u dump all the sand out into the sink and calculate how many particles of sand went down the drain. square that number. after all the sand is out of the jar fill a car with gumballs. drive to the store and buy measuring tape. measure the height of the mason jar. once u have these calculations fill the mason jar with gumballs and then take them out one by one to see how many u can fit in there.
I hope I win thanks to this awesome site
